Timber shutters have strength and stability which makes them ideal for room dividers, door panels and window treatments. Depending on the situation, they can be sliding, hinged, bi-fold or in a fixed position. Light and views can be filtered by tilting the blades.

Shutters are often made from traditional Western red cedar, which can be oiled, lacquered or painted to match the decor, or in "vinyl" which is UV-stable and requires little ongoing maintenance.
